Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Field Engineer (Integrity), based initially Offshore then Onshore Aberdeen
Responsibilites will include:
Ensure effective planning and preparation of inspection, fabric maintenance and repair work pack content.
Maintain knowledge of the physical condition of all SCE, ECE & PCE fixed plant and structures on the assigned asset.
Provide input to review and validate the integrity management system including RBIs, asset strategies and corrosion control schemes.
Provide Integrity input to the planning process.
Ensure all inspection activities are planned with the required multi-discipline input to allow all necessary preparatory works (access, isolations, cleaning etc.) to be put in place in a timely manner.
Proactively identify and promote innovative inspection techniques, which would reduce costs without compromising the integrity of the plant.
Ensure the quality of inspection, its associated reporting and recommendations for program revision, FM remediation or repair.
Coordinate and manage work allocation for inspection teams to ensure they are fully productive.
Manage integrity activities on site ensuring that they are conducted and reported in accordance with Company procedures.
Coordinate ISSOW requirements for integrity activities while at site.
Provide input for options, scoping and prioritisation of repairs including fabric maintenance.
Provide direction on and preparation of inspection reports in IRS for all integrity scopes and raise any necessary repair orders in the WMS to rectify anomalies ensuring the correct work criticality is assigned.
Undertake QA/QC of work packs, 3rd party inspection reports, anomaly reporting and repair options.
Manage and coordinate vessel inspections, including validation of work scope upon initial entry into vessel.
Intervene in and determine the condition of the asset, where integrity threats may be exposed during planned maintenance, project, drilling or operations activity.
Inspect and evaluate site integrity where work-fronts are exposed through planned non-inspection related activity.
Document and report the integrity of plant and equipment exposed through non-inspection related activity.
Communicate and escalate where appropriate integrity threats in a timely manner.
Investigate and establish the integrity of plant or structure where concerns are raised by platform personnel, management, the ICP or the regulator.
Liaise directly with the Asset Integrity Engineer and Field Support Engineer to report critical issues.
Support site with ICP and HSE integrity inspections and any follow up actions.
Assist and support in offshore integrity audits including routine monitoring of 3rd party integrity service companies.
Assist in incident investigation and risk assessments as required.
Degree qualification in relevant engineering discipline.
Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered Engineer status.
UKAS Accreditation RG2 Category 2 working towards Category 1 or equivalent.
Skills & Experience
Significant experience in plant inspection.
ASME Plant Inspector or API 570/510 Code certified
Knowledge and experience with Non Destructive Testing (NDT) methods.
Knowledge and experience in welding technology.
Understanding and awareness of national and international codes and standards for the design, fabrication and operation of Oil & Gas production plant and offshore structures.
Knowledge of relevant MAH legislation and its onshore/offshore influences.
