Based in Edinburgh, Eden Scott's client is looking to hire a Sub Contracts Manager to provide a full procurement service to the Procurement and Category Managers for subcontracting / ordering of all equipment, material and capital equipment including expediting, inspection and incoming shipment.
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and ideally be CIPS qualified.
Representing the Procurement team regarding any Supplier issues, the Subcontracts Manager will be required to prepare Procurement reports - including looking at Procurement research and marketing in the selection of competent and approved suppliers.
In conjunction with the Procurement and Category Managers, the Sub Contracts Manager will be responsible for supervising the preparation of necessary bid packs, applicable conditions of Sub Contract and associated Statement of Work, list of suppliers and subcontractors, detailed acceptance procedures and all other documentation relating to the Project.
The successful candidate will also be involved in agreeing with the Procurement / Category Manager the list of companies invited to tender for work, managing the bid process, selection and taking the selected Vendor from negotiation through to final deliveries.
Candidates will ideally be educated to a degree level and be CIPS qualified, with similar experience in a sub contract focused role.
