You will provide key financial support to the regional financial management team as well as to the in country teams spread across South Africa. You will play a key role in linking the various sub-regional reports into a cohesive financial view of Africa. You will be responsible for ensuring the sub-regional reporting and subsequent regional reports meet IFRS standards and assist in the preparation of variance reports.
A key responsibility will be the analysis of reporting processes and procedures to ensure that continuous improvement takes place and that global best practices are adopted at a regional and country level. You will assist management in the preparation of robust budgets reflecting advanced risk management strategies gaining experience from industry leading financial executives. You will ensure the full implementation of Navision minimising non-conforming processes and apply regular balance sheet reviews ensuring dull disclosure. Requirements
You will need and accounting or finance degree with formal chartered or certified public accounting accreditation combined with at least 5 years experience at a regional or head office level as a financial controller. Knowledge of the downstream petroleum, O&G or chemicals sector will be critical especially at B2B and retail level as will previous experience dealing with African countries. It is critical that you are fully versed in IFRS and related standards with management experience and willingness to travel within Africa. You will need to be a success driven individual eager to grow within a dynamic flat structure organisation.
