A 13 month paid placement at Fife Ethylene Plant will provide you with a valuable insight into how a leading engineering organisation works. Aimed at students in their penultimate year of study, it's a perfect opportunity to learn how to apply your chemical engineering knowledge in an industrial setting prior to your final year.
You will be part of the Fife Ethylene Plant's team of process engineers, providing essential technical support to the plant's operation in a variety of ways, such as day-to-day troubleshooting of emergent operational challenges, development of proposals for modifications to enhance plant capability and development of tools used to monitor and optimise plant performance.
You will have the opportunity to interface with all levels of the organization and to demonstrate your project management, analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills. You will work with talented professionals who support, mentor and encourage your development throughout your placement to build on your skills, whilst also being given the opportunity to be assessed for a permanent Graduate position within ExxonMobil following your university studies
Outside of work, you will have the option of living in Edinburgh, allowing you to enjoy the variety of sights and attractions it has to offer, including the renowned Edinburgh Festival. The site's Thistle Club also provides opportunity to participate in subsidised activities such as karting, theatre trips and clay pigeon shooting.
