Data analytics is one of our focus areas and we want a passionate data scientist to join our team. ABB Marine and Ports in Norway is a leading provider of advanced service solutions for the maritime domain. We are looking for a highly competent, proactive and innovative candidate with a personal passion for data analytics and information technology.
The primary job responsibility will be to utilize the possibilities offered by state-of-the-art information technologies to further develop our advanced software offering in the data analytics domain. Being able to understand a wide range of use cases and to come up with efficient solutions is a key part of the work. Equally important is the ability for the candidate to rapidly prototype, demonstrate and productize new concepts and solutions using a multitude of tools and equipment.
The right candidate should have significant experience in several of the following areas;
• Development of analytics solutions based on modern mathematical and statistical methods
• Data handling, machine learning and analytics within the Microsoft Azure environment
• Software development on Windows and cloud based platforms
• Ethernet and IP based networking technologies
• Knowledge of condition monitoring and maintenance methodologies
• Understanding of advanced automation systems and industrial equipment
Our ideal candidate will have a formal degree in mathematics, physics, information technology or other degree with specific focus on data analytics.
We will consider both recently graduated candidates as well as experienced ones. Candidates without experience from the maritime domain are also encouraged to apply as the appropriate training will be given.
