About the Role:

Join ABB as Global Business Unit (BU) Process Improvement Manager for the Protection and Connection Business Unit where you will define and implement medium and long-term initiatives to increase customer loyalty, improve products and processes' quality and reliability in a safe working environment. One of your main challenges will be to oversee quality improvement initiatives in all areas of the value chain from Supplier, through Manufacturing sites to Logistic Distribution Centers.

- Support the BU in defining global quality and operations BU strategy in line with group strategy in order to ensure the organization delivers a consistent product, which conforms to customer expectations
- Develop improvement processes and support local teams focused on improving performance in accordance with BU operations strategy
- Deploy BU framework in order to determine the effective quantification of waste and inefficiency in the supply chain and at the same time prioritize areas for improvement
- Coach and support local team to implement corrective actions
- Define, monitor and propose improvement plans for Key Performance Indicators in a Total Quality Management approach
- Support the BU quality community and IS team in a coordinated way to define and implement common quality processes
- Collaborate with the BU SCM in the supplier qualification framework definition
- Support the definition and implementation of global BU quality standards, tools, guidelines and governance, identifying and promoting benchmarking and best practices spreading across the organization
- Provide expert advice throughout the organization leading to more effective / productive activities including the people development of the teams

- University degree in a relevant discipline (Electrical or Mechanichal or Areospace Engineering Degree)
- Approximately 10 years experience in quality and operations management and leading major operational excellence and business reengineering projects
- Excellence in strategic planning, project management and personal leadership
- Experience from a leading management consultancy is highly valued
- Broad & deep knowledge of theories, tools and practices in business improvement and project & change management
- Understanding of different cultures, and excellent ability to guide, coach and mentor others coupled with highest levels of personal integrity
- Strong analytical and systemic problem solving skills
- Fluent written and spoken English combined with good communication skills
- Significant travel (80%+) is required
