As Sales Engineer, you will join the sales team of Local Product Group Transportation. You will be responsible for sales of the full range of products/system that ABB supply for rolling stock on Railway Market, with focus on both OEMs and End Users segments. You will be able to build long-term customer relationships, manage resolution to specific customer needs .
Your main accountabilities are:
Build and maintain strong business relationships with new and existing customers, identify, and develop sales opportunities
Provide a high level of sales and marketing to customers in accordance to with the terms of the customer and market requirement.
Accurately prepare technical & commercial proposals/quotations and effectively respond to customer's enquiries and produce the most efficient bid quotations that fulfills both the client's requirements/technical specifications.
Responsibility will include, but not limited to:
Prepare Market Intelligence reports.
Understand customer needs and participate in the demand side budgeting.
Monitor and track project opportunities such as project lists, volume of offers, won-lost analysis etc.
Promote and sell the LPG portfolio products and services.
Train Capture teams for any project pursuit that is potential for ABB.
You have a strong professional experience in sales with direct customer contact within a multinational company.
You have a degree in electrical engineering, with a solid background in railway business and a fluent English and Italian knowledge (written and spoken).
A Global and local market (Italy) understanding of traction components and systems, experience in contracting and negotiations and in handling of LD's and public biddings
are important to cover the role. Knowledge sales tools like Sales Force is a plus.
