About the opportunity

Our Brisbane office seeks a dedicated Water Client Manager to develop and grow sustainable client relationships and business opportunities with key clients for our Buildings & Infrastructure Group across Queensland. Reporting to the Regional Business Development Manager (with cross-report to the Director of Operations, Water & Environment), the Water Client Manager will engage and develop relationships with our key utility and government water clients, relevant contractor/delivery partners and the broader water industry. In the role, you will take ownership of our Northern Water clients' budgets (development, monitoring and achievement of outcomes), undertake client planning, lead the response to requests for proposal and work closely with proposal managers to drive the bid process and develop compelling value propositions to ultimately improve proposal win rates.

You will also take responsibility for thought leadership and brand awareness related activities relating to our Water business and identify capability, capacity and technical expertise requirements in our operational areas to address the strategic needs of our clients, in conjunction with the Director of Operations, Water & Environment and relevant Technical Directors/Leaders.

About you

Desired background and experience includes:

  • Business development & solution sales experience
  • Acknowledged profile in and understanding of the Water market sector and various delivery models adopted in the sector
  • Experience across the full asset life cycle desirable (planning, design, project and construction management and operation/asset management)
  • Strong project management skills with ability to plan, organise and direct business processes and with demonstrated proposal development experience
  • Development & delivery of formal presentations, including: one-on-one, small and large groups, with peers, direct reports and senior managers (both internal and external stakeholders)
  • Ideally Bachelor of Engineering and/or Master of Business Administration degree qualified
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Available for domestic travel (when required)
