We are seeking a Distribution Designer with 2 - 4 years of experience with a utility and/or utility consulting company doing design engineering. The candidate must have a strong background in utility distribution design work package development in one or more of the following areas: overhead, URD, and underground cable/conduit design work packages. Assignments may include assessment and development of design packages for complex overhead and underground distribution projects in urban and rural environments in compliance with client's engineering and construction specifications, field engineering of project requirements, coordination of conflicting utilities, work permit development, ensuring quality control and safe work practices, maintaining compliance with project scope, schedule and budget. This position requires excellent oral and written communications skills and excellent interpersonal skills.Qualifications:
BS degree and 2 - 4 years of experience with a utility and/or utility consulting company with design engineering. 4+ additional years' experience in lieu of degree will also be considered.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds
Must be able to walk long distances in an outdoor environment
