You will be part of Grid Integration (Substations) in Västerås. The business unit designs and delivers complete substations for distribution and transmission grids. Our turnkey substation projects mainly comprise high and medium voltage apparatus, transformers, protection and control systems, auxiliary power systems as well as construction and erection work. Substations in Västerås, Ludvika, Sundsvall, Norrköping and Göteborg has approximately 200 employees.

As Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist, you will be part of our OPEX department. We are responsible for Quality, Health, Safety, Environment as well as Business Development.
Your main mission will be to ensure a safe work environment at Substations in Västerås and at our project sites by supporting and coach managers and project managers in their daily work. Moreover, you will secure continuous improvements within the Health, Safety and Environment area.
Other important parts of your work will be to:
Develop the HSE Culture and behavior in the organization including our customers and suppliers. Train, coach and support the organization in HSE related work
Secure that we comply with laws, instructions and the management systems for occupational health and safety OHSAS xxxxxxxand environment ISO xxxxxxx.
Support and conduct analysis of risks and accidents and work proactively, for example by identifying, analyzing and communicating lessons learned in the field of Health, Safety and Environment
Develop and manage the Health, Safety and Environment processes
Implement and follow-up HSE-related plans and initiatives within Substations and ABB
Support SCM department with HSE follow-up of suppliers and contractors

You hold a Master's degree in Engineering with specialization in Health, Safety and/or Environment along with at least five years' work experience. Furthermore, you also need knowledge and understanding of legislation in terms of Health, Safety and Environment, as well as knowledge of management systems ISo xxxxxxxand OHSAS xxxxxxx. Experience from working with environment issues, as well as from working with construction, erection, installation and commissioning projects with a complex work environment, is desirable. If you have a NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent, it is a plus, as well as knowledge of audit technique. Fluency in Swedish and English is a must, both written and spoken.
