About the Role:

Provide governance and oversight to site Training Managers and Supervisors on the actions needed to maintain standard practices to meet industry and regulatory requirements. Provide oversight and direction of corporate general training staff and site staff responsible for maintaining fleet common training programs, operations training programs or maintenance and technical (M&T) training programs ensuring alignment with company standards and procedures. Areas of direction include fleet accreditation renewal, instructor development, instructional design, industry and community college contacts, and all other fleet non- accredited training programs. Lead self-assessment activities to determine existing gaps of program performance and recommend common methods of implementation. Oversee general training peer group meetings and training review committees (TRC) to support actions needed to drive standardization. Coordinate industry peer support, facility cross functional task teams, conduct strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, resource and change management planning for fleet projects. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related science is required.
  • Ten (10 ) or more years of training experience is required.
  • Five (5 ) or more years of nuclear power industry experience is required.
  • Experience in at least one of the five following areas is required: Operations, Maintenance management, Work Control/Outage, Nuclear Support Services or Engineering/Technical Support.
  • Five (5 ) years of management/supervisory experience in training is required.
  • Must have obtained a senior or journey-level technician position or Operations position and have completed an accredited training qualification process.
  • Must possesses a good working knowledge of the SAT process and participated on an INPO accreditation visit and/or external training assessment.
  • Depending on assigned functionality, must have obtained a NRC Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license or SRO certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Multi-site or corporate experience is preferred.
  • Previous or current senior reactor operator (SRO) license or certification is preferred.
