The Instrument and Control Planner will be responsible for planning I&C maintenance activities. The Planner will support the work order planning process by writing and reviewing work orders, work plans, procedures and installation work plans for modification requests. Duties will include the research and request of parts required to support work activities. The Planner, with the support of other groups, establishes the work plan guidelines for conducting maintenance at the plant, including updating PM work plan models based on feedback. The Planner will be responsible for assisting with the planning/scheduling of daily work activities including corrective maintenance, testing, surveillance, call-ups and training.
This position is currently represented by Local 2150 IBEW.
- A minimum of six years' experience associated with planning is required. The candidate must possess a basic familiarity with industry codes and standards.
- A background in Instrumentation and Controls as a Technician or Planner is highly desired.
- Associate Degree in instrumentation or electronics, or trade school certificate is preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Candidates must be willing and able to interact with all PBNP departments including but not limited to Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Radiation Protection, Warehouse/Purchasing, Security, Production Planning and Nuclear Oversight; must possess highly developed verbal and written communication skills; must be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude; must demonstrate or have the ability to develop computer skills that are required in order to be proficient with NAMS and/or other planning software, as applicable.
