NextEra Energy Resources is one of the largest wholesale generators of electric power and renewable energy from the wind and sun in North America. Position leads other leaders and teams responsible for executing the replacement of large wind turbine components (e.g., Gearboxes, Generators, Main Bearings and Blades), utilizing a fleet of cranes ranging in size from small support cranes (Grove RT890) to large 440 ton cranes (Manitowoc xxxxxxxas well of "Self-Hoisting Cranes". Under the direction of a Regional General Manager, this position will manage all aspects of crane operations, maintenance, certification and business (from day-to-day to vision setting and budget development). Position will have the responsibility of determining the crane strategy for the company, considering both current situation and future potential (i.e., grow business by 50% in next five years) and build relationships with crane vendors & manufacturers. In addition, the position will be required to achieve all production and business targets while maintaining an injury free work place. Position will determine and ensure execution of all required training and develops all leaders and technicians. Position ensures all business activities are conducted following corporate policies and in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal permits, codes, standards and regulations. Position will also develop multi-year O&M budgets, ensuring all budget targets are met and oversee and approve procurement activities of the fleet. Job may include other misc. duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field (Engineering, Science, Renewable Energy, or equivalent), 5-7 or more years of relevant experience working with cranes and/or wind major component replacement, and 5-7 or more years of demonstrated leadership / supervisor experience. Experience with Operating and Maintaining Large Cranes, Technical / Functional Excellence; Quality Tools & Techniques; Competent / Effective Written & Oral Communications skills. Ability to travel as needed across North America (25% minimum). Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with both technical and business education and/or experience are preferable, Six-sigma quality training a plus.
