Position Description: Assist with d evelopment for data analysis applications intended to early detect or prevent power plant equipment failures and the development of applications that utilize mathematical algorithms to detect the symptoms of failure. Additionally, work with power plant equipment engineers, and various other customers to understand and develop failure detection methods and applications. Developing new and update existing data analysis applications to support predictive monitoring and data analysis of power plants. Develop applications that analyze data from equipment failure and develop methods to detect failure signature if one exists.
***Flexible work schedule. 10-20 hours per week between 8am-5pm.

This position requires software design skills and ability to develop and maintain web and client based applications. An understanding of mathematical algorithms. Perform activities including requirements gathering, scope definition, functional specifications, code development, support, and troubleshooting issues. Should be able to develop and maintain applications by evaluating client needs, analyzing requirements, and developing related software solutions. Candidate must be able to work both independently, within a small team, and have a positive customer presence. Must be a self-starter and resourceful. Overall, candidate must c ontribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Additional Preferred Requirements:
