Under limited guidance, this individual will be responsible to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments, plan and develop engineering projects concerned with unique or controversial complexities which have important impact on major company programs which involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of areas for investigation, and development of novel concepts, act as technical liaison to individuals within and outside the organization with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters pertaining to the individual's field, and receives assignments given in broad terms concerning general objectives and limitations. Job may include other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
The successful candidate for this position will be involved in improving fuel efficiency and generating capability across our entire fleet of power plants. Must have remote monitoring experience, knowledge of ASME Performance Test Codes and testing techniques, ability to leverage technology to develop exception based automated alerting to identify opportunities for fuel efficiency or capability improvement, ability to conduct heat balances analysis to identify improvement opportunities or to estimate benefits of proposed capital improvements, ability to develop performance and operating assumptions for internal power marketing and load dispatching departments. Power plant operations and maintenance experience desirable. Six Sigma certification and proficiency with heat balance modeling software desirable.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 0-2 years of relevant supervisory experience required, if applicable.
