Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician's license from any state and solid experience in electrical installation, inspection, and testing.
Basic computer skills to include the use of Microsoft Office products
Designing, costing, planning, coordinating, and reviewing electrical installation and related facilities infrastructure work. Responsible for inspecting and evaluating the work of others. A major component of the job is conducting mostly electrical installations, testing and inspection, yet is open to stretching and growing into all aspects of facilities and infrastructure project planning and project management, as required.
Installations required in variety of environments, mostly in a data center and/or construction and maintenance environment. Requires installation of xxxxxxx8v wiring distribution; critical power installations; electrical quality troubleshooting, test and inspection; grounding, etc. Use of all types of electrical equipment and practices, construction and maintenance practices, rack-mounted equipment, and knowledge of electrical code and safety procedures.
May require estimates for materials and parts for electrical systems, following diagrams, blueprints, construction drawings, and schematics and upon job completion, provides as-built drawings.
Requires the ability to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical systems or equipment and the ability to use a variety of electrician's hand tools, measuring and testing instruments.
Upon receiving training in site-specific electrical installations, work with minimum supervision. Lead projects without appreciable oversight and assist Project Managers with design and materials. Perform tasks assigned, taking complete responsibility for organizing, performing and completing jobs. Work cooperatively with supervisory and other site personnel, communicating job status, while working harmoniously in a team setting
