Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Marine Superintendent, based in Aberdeen
Responsibilities will include:
Provide Marine (including engine room and pump room equipment) and Boiler engineering support as required.
Provide technical support to offshore Operations, which may entail extended offshore visits.
Ensure all modifications to Marine equipment fully comply and meet with the requirements of the Asset Verification Scheme, Company Specifications, Standards and Procedures including management of change procedure.
Provide operational and specialist Marine engineering support to modification or study teams or projects in line with the management of change procedure.
Assist in setting budgets which are realistic, will fulfil business needs and manage expenditure for all work scopes within the limits of those budgets
Generate scopes of work, detailed cost estimates, and, where necessary, compile maintenance and minor modification work packs for offshore implementation.
Maintain Marine Engineering Standards and Procedures.
Performance monitoring of all Marine plant, associated marine control systems and equipment.
Ensure the deck boilers are operated, maintained and inspected correctly and that boiler water condition is monitored and managed effectively with pro-active intervention where required.
Assist with operational health care contracts relating to first line support. Ensure that these contracts effectively support the production delivery objectives.
Ensuring that all requirements, deadlines, and support services for FPSO Operations, Construction, Maintenance and Materials are met and carried out by offshore personnel
Meeting the corporate targets set for the company
Lead and participate in a proactive safety performance and KPl's ensuring accurate recording and input to the asset Process Safety Management system.
Participate in equipment failure investigations and incident investigations as required.
Management of Sub Contractors and suppliers ensuring supporting vendors and suppliers comply with company standards i.e. Safety Management, Quality Management and Corporate Social Responsibility
Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent). Marine Engineering certificate of competence.
Class 1 or II combined certificate of competency advantageous.
Must have recent experience in berthing and bringing tankers alongside FSU
Previous experience with Marine Steam raising plant and pumping systems boilers (Hamworthy control systems) would be an advantage.
Ability to work as a member and/or leader of a team and communicate effectively with onshore and offshore staff at all levels.
An awareness of budgetary control and the ability to deliver tasks to program and cost targets.
Chartered Engineer or qualifications leading to.
Significant experience in FPSO Operations with additional tanker experience in a seagoing marine engineering role.
Must possess knowledge of operational planning processes
