Job Purpose: Lead the sales and project origination process for commercial distributed generation solar PV business. Manage all day to day sales and project origination efforts for rooftop, carport and ground-mount distributed generation solar projects which sell power to commercial, government and non-profit entities. Responsible for originating projects through pre-existing strategic channel partnerships and pre- existing industry relationships and respond to competitive solicitation processes. Ensure an adequate project pipeline and review potential project opportunities. There is an expectation that this candidate will come to the role with many and specific pre-existing relationships and will therefore be able to close business in an accelerated timeframe relative to more junior sales people. Review, prepare and negotiate term sheets with clients to secure project opportunities. Collaborate with company's transaction, project finance, legal, engineering and construction teams to ensure successful origination of viable projects. Job Standards and experience expectations Bring an ability to move deals through their processes at an accelerated rate. The expectation is that candidates have over a decade of experience in either solar origination and development, or senior level sales. Performance will be based on successful completion of all job functions up to the productivity standards and timeframes established and directed by Management.
