About the Role:

Following a recent internal announcement, which communicated the growth of the npower back office structure we are extending multiple permanent management roles to the external market.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high profile team with some exciting challenges ahead.

Role description

Reporting to the Head of Collections the Cash Operations Manager is ultimately responsible for Cash Transaction Management for the RWE npower domestic, SME and I&C businesses.

You will:

Monitor the effectiveness of direct debit functionality

Ensure data relating to customer payments is processed and posted to the appropriate customer information system on a daily basis (68million transactions per year)

Manage relationships with Paypoint, Payzone and Post Office, to ensure they provide npower customers with convenience and choice where to purchase their prepayment credit or pay their bills

Work with and support the other members of the Customer Collections team to deliver a high quality service to c5m Domestic Customers

Manage performance management through a team of Operation Managers and Team Managers

Translate strategic and tactical objectives into operational activities to meet key performance indicators

Skills and experience:

Proven and relevant experience of managing a Collections related team focused on proactive Collections management / avoidance

Evidence of driving and delivering results through people within a complex, regulated environment

Keen financial acumen / previous experience of managing budgets and considering cost impacts when designing and delivery strategy

Excellent stakeholder management / communication skills and ability to translate and align priorities with wider business

Experience of being a highly effective people manager and leader

A broad base of industry knowledge and sound Credit and Debt Management knowledge

Excellent influencing and negotiation skills and the ability to negotiating contracts across multiple suppliers/agencies
