CH2M has an immediate opening for a Roadway Engineering Technician in our Bellevue and Seattle locations. Our Roadway Engineering Technician career path is your chance to work on Transportation projects that focus on roadway and highway design, transit design, and bike facilities. Each day you will work with a team of technicians, engineers, and planners to create drawings and documents using software tools and resources supporting our client's overall project goals to improve our communities.
Qualified candidates ideally will have a two-year technical degree in CAD Design, at least 10 to 15 years experience with Microstation and/or AutoCAD designing roadways and associated infrastructure (e.g. drainage systems) and be an expert in producing final design plans for technical content, electronic accuracy and consistent presentation. Experience with Washington Department of Transportation projects, municipal transportation projects, standards and procedures are required. You should be a well-organized, detail oriented and self-motivated professional with a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each engineering technician project.
Our Engineering Technicians:
• Work with engineers, architects, and project managers to determine project plans and specifications
• Create layouts, design plans, sketches, and 2D/3D modeling and electronic document drawing files
• Strengthen individual skill sets by becoming familiar with and employing detailing requirements and CH2M CAD standards.
• Utilize CAD and design skills, along with other firm provided resources to create detailed drawings of transportation improvements which meet and exceed our clients' expectations. Minimum Qualifications
