Must be proficient in calibrating, maintaining and troubleshooting the following instrumentation: Transmitters, Switches of all types, Valves, Analyzers (CEMS Air Emissions equipment and Water Chemistry).
Experience working with various Distributed Control System's (DCS), Westinghouse Ovation Preferred.
Must be able to read and understand technical manuals, P&ID's, electrical schematics and control logic (SAMA) diagrams.
Follows all safe work practices and procedures.
Perform maintenance activities to the degree the individual is qualified and in a safe manner.
Must be proficient in the ability to interpret power generation systems, procedures and drawings.
Monitors performance to identify operating characteristics, take necessary actions to prevent or limit failure, optimize efficiency, identify root cause and implement countermeasures.
Understands and follows procedures for compliance with all environmental regulations.
Must be able to perform daily CEMS calibrations, routine CEMS maintenance, Linearity's, RATA testing and troubleshooting of CEMS analyzers and sampling systems.
Must be able to respond to off-hour callouts and work a reasonable amount of overtime
Good communications skills, oral/written & basic computer skills.
Scheduled to work 5 days a week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Electrical/Instrumentation and Controls apprenticeship, vocational certificate, military training or equivalent required.
Proficient in skills and abilities relating to: calibrating, maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation and control equipment and systems.
