Jacobs is the lead contractor providing EPCM services for the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Project. This contract is worth $2.8b of surface and infrastructure works and will see us leading the way for over 6 years to deliver this project successfully and safely.
This role will report to the Lead Cost Engineer and based on site at Oyu Tolgoi Mine in Mongolia, and we are looking for personnel who can commence as soon as possible.
This role will be FIFO (4 weeks on / 2 weeks off) from Ulaanbaatar, and it is a requirement that the successful candidate be a Mongolian citizen.
Requirements for role and responsibilities:
• Review engineering budgets and staff plans by working with the project team
• Track and review weekly labour costs and analyse data ensuring charges are within budget
• Update cost reports
• Maintain and update project Cost database
• Take part in forecasting of all project costs
• Assist with monthly report preparation
Ideally, the successful candidate will have underground mining experience having worked in a similar role previously.
