About the Role:

We are actively searching for qualified candidates for this potential opening in the Pensacola FL area. We do not have assurance at this time that the position will be opened and when. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The Mechanical Engineer's primary duty and responsibility is to support O&M workload associated with facility and infrastructure for ongoing maintenance and sustainment programs. Anticipated responsibilities include, but not limited to: conceptual thinking; designing and developing plans, processes, and procedures; functional data and requirements analysis; complex system analysis; and documentation preparation for complex systems. May be required to supervise less experienced engineers, support craft personnel, and support quality and safety programs.

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited engineering school, and five (5) to eight (8) years of mechanical engineering experience in facility and infrastructure management. Must be a registered PE in FL.

Experience in large Facility Support services or Base Operations Support contracts with Navy or NAVFAC preferred; CMRP preferred; Experience in Maximo CMMS desired. Must have knowledge of applicable codes and standards (Local, State, and Federal); Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a US citizen.

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Restricted access complex, mostly office facilities and industrial plants. Duties will require access and entry within warehouse, physical plants, and construction/work areas where PPE is applicable (e.g. safety shoes, hearing/vision protection, safety hats).

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods. Requires field support at main location and several outlying locations. Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of employees and customers.

Equipment and Machines

Administrative Equipment (e.g. phone, computers, copiers, printers).


With the exception of approved leave and holidays, attendance is mandatory. This position is expected to be on-site during all regular business hours as aligned with customer requirements. Overtime may be required. Position or alternate shall be available on-site within one hour of customer's request.

Other Essential Functions

Must take and pass a drug test and background check. Must have/maintain appropriate security clearance and be a US Citizen. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be willing to travel as-needed.
