Jacobs Federal Operations provides a wide range of services to government and industry in engineering, environmental, operations and maintenance, scientific, engineering, environmental and technical services. Our clients include USAF, USACE, DOE, USCG, NASA, Dow, TVA, and Denso. We are currently executing many contracts, performing work that is essential to our clients' missions across a broad range of functional areas.
The Environmental Scientist will provide technical, scientific and/or engineering support for environmental investigation and remediation projects including all phases of planning, water and soil sampling, data analysis, work plan and report writing, and subcontractor oversight and management.
- Investigate and provide data for analysis
- Collect samples of water and soil for analysis
- Write reports on data and findings
- Provide recommendations based on findings
- May manage vendors and subcontractors
- Create all phases of water remediation and planning
- The capability of working effectively in both the office and field environment required
Ability to maintain an excellent attitude in a highly collaborative, team oriented setting required
Eagerness to continually learn, adapt, and maintain flexibility when needed is required
Build and maintain productive working relationships with co-workers, clients and regulatory agencies
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision required
Strong attention to detail required
4-7 years of experience required
BS or MS in scientific discipline, computer literacy in software typical or discipline is preferred.
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certificate desirable but not required
State of Alaska Professional Land Surveyor license is desirable but not required
