Codes moderately complex websites using HTML, Visual Basic, or other web-based programming languages. Maintain a functioning user-accessible website. Supports website planning and deployment. Write documentation regarding the website's technical requirements. Apply concepts, develops, tests, maintain and supports high-performance, innovative web-based applications. Responsible for troubleshooting software problems and providing solutions to overcome those problems using the latest technologies. Work with management and information technologists to determine specifications. Uses a variety of internet technologies, techniques and tools such as graphics software applications and object-oriented languages (e.g. Java, CGI, Visual Basic, HTML, XML) to create web page elements such as user interface features, site animation, special effects, databases, and e- business applications. Maintain website technical documentation to assist with website maintenance and upgrades. In concert with the software development lead, develop, test, maintain and support high- performance, innovative web- based applications. Analyze and troubleshoot complex software problems and providing solutions using the latest technologies. Works independently on more complex projects. Integrate new web products with existing web applications in order to improve the functionality or design of the organization's website.
Associates Degree and 5 yr. experience, or Bachelor's Degree and 3 yr. experience, Master's Degree and 1 yr. or combination of 7 yr. experience which may include education, specialization training, certifications and/or experience. Relevant education/experience must be in an IT discipline related to the assigned program area (e.g. Network Engineering, Network Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer/Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Forensics/Security, etc.) DOD Computing Environment.
Employees that require privileged access to information systems are trained and certified in accordance with DOD 8570.1-M, AR 25-2, Army Best Business Practice (BBP) 05-PR-M-0002, and IA Training Certification (latest version).

UNUSUAL OR SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION
May require sitting in front of a computer for extended periods of time (up to 95%). Walking a minimum of 50 yards over rough terrain is required (up to 10%). The ability to push and pull, as well as lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required (up to 10%).
DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work environment may be fast-paced and require work under pressure to meet deadlines associated with the completion of a task. Position will require multiple task efforts. Travel may be required periodically for specific task related functions as well as to obtain training necessary for this position.
EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES INVOLVED IN WORK TASKS
Performs planning and execution of test and evaluation programs involving integrated weapons systems and munitions, automotive systems, precision instrumentation systems and unmanned vehicles (up to 90%). Work also requires regular use of typical office equipment such as the personal computer (up to 80%), copiers (up to 2%), and fax machines (up to 2%).
CRITICALITY OF ATTENDANCE
Attendance is critical at all times during normal duty hours. Work outside of normal duty hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required with as little as one-hour advance notice.
OTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to obtain an interim secret security clearance in order to gain access to required areas, networks and systems within thirty (30) days of date of your offer letter. Must further be able to obtain and retain a secret security clearance. Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship. Must be able to obtain and retain unescorted access to work areas. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required. Must have a valid driver's license and personal transportation for the purpose of moving around on the proving ground to accomplish job functions and in order to operate a rental vehicle if and when travel is required.
