Jacobs Technology is looking for a Section Structural Civil Engineer.
The Section Structural Civil Engineer's primary duty and responsibility is to support Base Support Vehicles and Equipment (BSVE) functions within a limited access section. The Section Sstructural Civil Engineer shall have no other duties except those associated with Base Support Vehicles and Equipment (BSVE) functions within the limited access section. Anticipated responsibilities include, but not limited to: conceptual thinking; designing and developing plans, processes, and procedures; functional data and requirements analysis; complex system analysis; and documentation preparation for complex systems. May be required to supervise less experienced engineers. Requires expertise in Base Support Vehicles and Equipment (BSVE) inclusive of Weight Handling Systems (WHE), which consists of cranes such as portal and jib cranes; rigging gear such as slings and shackles; and associated equipment such as portable hoists and dynamometers; and Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
BS degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school, and five (5) to eight (8) years of related engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and four (4) to six (6) years related engineering experience or a Ph.D. degree and zero (0) to three (3) years related experience. TS/SCI preferred.
At least 3 years of Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) engineering experience; Registered Professional Engineer preferred; Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) a plus; Experience in large Facility Support Services or Base Operations Support contracts within Base Support Vehicles and Equipment function desired; Experience in Maximo required. Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (Local, State, and Federal); Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Limited access complex, mostly office facilities and industrial plants. Duties will require access and entry within warehouse, physical plants, and construction/work areas where PPE is applicable (e.g. safety shoes, hearing/vision protection, safety hats)
Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods. Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of employees and customers.

With the exception of approved leave and holidays, attendance is mandatory. Attendance is critical at all times to ensure response to customer requirements (100%). Overtime may be required. This position is expected to be on-site during all regular business hours as aligned with customer requirements. Position shall be available on-site within one hour of customer's request.

Must take and pass a drug test and background check. Must have/maintain appropriate security clearance and pass Level I Security and Escort Training.
