Jacobs Technology is looking for a Port Services Manager.
The Port Services Manager's primary responsibility is to manage and coordinate all docking and undocking work and all berthing support. Berthing and Hotel services include the supplying of hoses, cables, brows, brow towers, and the movement, connection and disconnection of the same to ensure ships are fully supported in a safe and timely manner. Coordination with ships is essential to ensure proper placement of utility connects and disconnects and of brows and towers; and to ensure ships receive proper utility hook-ups, disconnects, and requested hotel services in a timely manner. Hotel services include electric, CHT, potable water, salt water, and oily waste. Cables and hoses will be laid out and interconnected prior to ships or vessels arrival. All hoses and cables will be stowed in designated locations on pier and warehouse immediately after disconnection. The Port Services Manager's responsibility exists 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays for any ship movement or other actions that may require movement or connection/disconnection of utilities or berthing equipment. Maintenance of pertinent records as required.
BS degree from an accredited college or university in Industrial Engineering or related and fourteen (14) years related experience, or MS degree and twelve (12) years related experience or Ph.D. and eight (8) years of related experience. CMRP Preferred. Demonstrated experience and familiarity with OPNAVINST xxxxxxx.1, Operation and Maintenance Policy for Shore-To Ship Power; NAVFACINST xxxxxxx.37, Energy and Utilities Policy Manual; NAVFAC M0-340, Ship-To-Shore Hose Handling Operations Manual; and Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) Convention.
Must be able to work at a computer, desk, and port side for extended periods. Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of employees and customers. Familiarity and use of materials, and equipment available for protection of life and property in the event of severe weather, such as, but not limited to, hurricane, tornado, strong winds, flood, or fire required.
Naval ship port environment.

With the exception of approved leave and holidays, attendance is mandatory. This position is expected to be on-site during all regular business hours as aligned with customer requirements.
