About the Role:

  • Act as technical interface to Vestas OEM
  • Drive standardization and continuous technical improvement processes
  • Represent E.ON in industry forums to ensure continuous development with regard to new technologies
Value Chain - Operations and 3rd party services:
  • Ensure technical expertise to support the activities of the Operations and 3rd party services assets as required (predominantly focused on wind turbine technology)
  • Provide day-to-day support to Operations on specific high value or across fleet issues (e.g. End of Warranty inspections, major component exchanges)
  • Investigate, inspect and implement availability and efficiency improvement potentials, incl. Perform root cause analysis on major failures
Value Chain - Development and Construction
  • Provide technical inputs (e.g. failure rates) and define the turbine assessment sheets per selected turbine by setting all cost parameters for the financial model from a technical point of view (failure rates, performance, lifetime)
  • Embed technical capabilities and resources (based on key OEM-technologies) in the Development and Construction teams when delivering new projects
People Management:
  • Line Management of Global located team of Vestas fleet engineers and Gamesa fleet manager
  • Talent Management/ Succession Planning

  • Engineering degree or equivalent education or experience
  • Several years of experience in the wind energy business and preferably with Vestas turbines in the areas of operation and maintenance, engineering or R&D in wind farm operators, equipment suppliers or engineering organisations,
  • Experience of operating within safety, governance and operational policies, frameworks and statutory legislation,
  • Planning and organizational skills including effective prioritization with a clear operational focus
  • Creativity, be open for everything new and keen on learning and improvement
  • Success in influencing across technology and country boundaries and managing cultural diversity
  • Ability to build, develop and motivate high performance teams
  • Ability to work offshore and to work at height
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
