Due to our continued growth and expansion a position is available for an Architect having full knowledge in various Architectural aspects, with a strong background in design and construction of residential, recreational facilities, and commercial buildings.
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Architecture (5 year program preferred).
EXPERIENCE: Minimum ten (7 or 10) years in design and construction of residential, recreational facilities, and commercial buildings.
Fully familiar with the International Building Code (IBC), and other applicable standards international codes and standards.
The candidate shall poses competent and knowledgeable skill in (PC not Apple) computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. The candidate should be fully capable of using specialist building design programs and applications such as Micro Station, OR AutoCAD.
The candidate should possess a broad experience in architectural design, design review, quantity takeoffs, value engineering of early design plans, project submittal review, product sample review/selection, and construction from mobilization to project completion. The candidate is to ensure that projects meet legal, code, scope, and quality standards. The candidate shall have a good knowledge of construction methods and materials and work with various architectural and engineering discipline in project execution in a professional level job. The candidate shall be competent in the review and evaluate Construction Change Orders (Project Change Requests) to ensure full compliance with Standards and costs are in line with project budgets. The candidate should possess successful experience in liaising and coordinating with the proponent, other departments, and other design disciplines.
Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English with special emphasis on preparing technical reports and design studies.
Duties and Responsibilities
During the first 30 days you will be attending orientations with related departments, familiarize yourself with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards, your home department and key decision makers. You will also familiarize yourself with the processes and procedures of Saudi Aramco. You will shadow department members and begin supporting the different projects division.
60- 90 Days:
During this period, your division head and supervisor will monitor your progress, and report to the department manager if you are a fit for the position. You will provide support to your department/division by performing designs reviews (30%, 60%, 90%) of projects proposals, and detailed design. You will attend meetings and workshops with other departments within Saudi Aramco, and outside consultants.
After 12 Months:
You will have be and established, integrated, and valuable member of the department, acclimatized and enjoy working for the world's largest company.
You will establish, adopt and/or customize standards for CSPSD, You will be able to apply project management skills, project supervision, and train developing Saudi Engineers in the Professional Development Program (PDP).
