Assists in the identification, analysis, mitigation and transfer of risk for normal company operations and project activities.
Our Insurance Risk Manager reports to the Director of Risk Management. Coordinates with the Corporate Insurance Manager in the design and placement of the Corporate Insurance program. Supports business groups in securing project insurance and contract surety bonds. Assists in the claims management process by assuring appropriate assignment of adjusters, investigators, counsel, and case managers. Each day the Insurance Risk Manager will:
Assist the Director of Risk Management in evaluating company risk particularly as it related to international operations.
Coordinate with the Corporate Insurance Manager in the design and placement of Corporate Insurance Program.
Work with the internal legal team, company business groups, and project staff in providing risk management advice and counsel including design and placement of project specific coverage and surety bonds.
Assist in the claims management process by evaluating effectiveness and working with third party claims administrators and insurance company claims personnel to assure appropriate claims resolution.The minimum qualifications for this position are:
B.A. or B.S. in Business, Finance, Risk Management.
Professional designations: ARM, CIC, CPCU, ERM or equivalent.
7+ years corporate risk management experience. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
M.S. in related field or MBA.
Emphasis in international consulting or equivalent broker or insurance company experience.
Understanding of domestic and international Federal contract insurance requirements, including Defense Base Act coverage.
Working knowledge of risk management processes and procedures, preferably in construction and engineering industry.
Evaluating, analyzing, and designing risk transfer solutions for risk and liability.
Ability to comprehend insurance policy language, terms and conditions.
Understands contractual risk allocation for engineering and construction work including but not limited to indemnification, limitations of liability, warranties, waivers or subrogation and insurance requirements. Knowledge of adjusting, legal, and claims management processes related to actions or potential actions brought against the Company.
