The candidate will be responsible for the risk oversight assessment, and measurement of market risks in a large corporate treasury environment covering areas such as foreign exchange interest rate exposures, counterparty risk and pension plan asset management and liability risks. The role includes identification, measuring and , and reporting on current and approaching financial risks as well as participating in the review, and implementation of risk policies, guidelines, methodologies, and solutions.
The candidate must have solid analytical and mathematical capabilities. The position also entails significant interaction with operational management and, as such seasoned treasury business acumen and interpersonal relations are essential. The candidate will also be responsible for mentoring junior staff.
At least 15 years diversified work experience in relevant financial risk management and compliance environments.
Pension risk management
Broad understanding of risk modeling techniques including knowledge of risk management software and applications
Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly explain facts and practices to others.
Proficiency in English, knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
A post graduate degree in Finance, Economics or a related field
Strong preference for a professional certification in risk management such as FRM or PRM.
Duties and Responsibilities
Risk, Compliance and Reporting group is responsible for oversight of financial risk management at the corporate and subsidiary level, as well as advising on risk and mitigating strategies. Duties include maintaining a risk register, performing ad-hoc risk reviews, highlight risk areas, review policies and procedures and to align risk management policies across the organization.
