The Role:
Accurately recording the Income and Cost of Sales in relation to SNS & GBA Tariff Income. Provide comprehensive analysis and information to explain Income Statement movements. Also ownership & review of monthly Gas accounting.
Responsible for the coordination and completeness of the Balance Sheet Reconciliation process for the UK.

Primary Functions & Dimensions

• Raising SNS gas transportation and processing tariff invoices on a monthly basis, issuing to customers and recording in SAP
• Monthly Cost Share invoicing and accruals
• Preparing month end variance analysis on tariff income
• Record financial impacts of annual Send or Pay and Cost Share reconciliations
• Ownership & Review of Gas Accounting
• Month end intercompany checks
• Focal Point for all aspects of UK Balance Sheet reconciliations and delivery of training
• Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations action list for Finance organisation
• Ownership & Review of SNS Petroleum Revenue Tax returns
• Accounting for EU carbon emission trading
• Preparing quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
• Provide adhoc information to Internal & External Auditors
• Ensure SOX procedures are current and updated
• Communicating with Financial Services in Norway to address customer account queries

Critical Skills:

1. Core Technical Experience
• SAP Experience Preferred
• Ability to work in a pivotal role within the Finance and OU teams

2. Qualifications
• Qualified Accountant or developmental role for candidate studying towards professional qualification

3. Personal Characteristics
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with excellent interpersonal, team-working and presentation skills
• Results focused with a commitment to the delivery of 'best in class' service to the business
• Willing to challenge existing practices and implement initiatives
• PC literate with Excel skills essential
