SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED BEFORE DEPLOYMENT: UK Baseline Security clearance (BPSS). Also, Successful candidate will be knowledgeable on Export Control Requirements and may be required to handle Export Controlled/ITAR Data and is required to be trained to the Enhanced Level.
-Extensive aerospace and defence industry knowledge, managing significant & diverse engineering projects, with an understanding of all parts of the business lifecycle from business winning and bid work through to in-service support and disposal
-Working knowledge of the AACC Operational Framework, Life Cycle Management, Project Management, Engineering Management, Quality Management, Safety Management, managing sub-contractors, procurement, supplier selection & approval
-Understanding of IBP, financial, management, HR & MoD commercial processes
-Proven business acumen for objective decision-making regarding resources, risk management & engineering forward strategy
-Engineering Management capability & the ability to work closely with customers, suppliers & project teams.
-Honours degree level or equiv.
-Chartered Engineer status or equiv.
-Exp. of Safety Management Systems incl. their successful deployment
-Exp. of working on MoD Contracts incl. supplier management of a supply chain
-Exp. of the development and application of engineering process, organisational design, functional governance, assurance and its successful deployment
-Track record of managing a number of projects successfully and acknowledged accomplishment/ professional standing as a recognised Chief Engineer
-Exp. of Aerospace Prime Contracting & working with the RSAF & RSNF
-Exp. of leading, either as the head or in a senior supporting role, a delivery organisation in a technology-rich environment
-Exp. of operating in a highly regulated & highly scrutinised area that has significant impact on an organisations reputation
-Fast jet engineering background, in either design or maintenance
-Exp. & knowledge of the LCM process ideally as a Phase and/or Design Review Chair
