PN says Muscat was wrong on fuel prices: statistics show petrol in Poland is 92 cents per litre
Prime Minister Joseph Muscat has been proved wrong by official EU statistics, which show that the price of petrol in Poland is 92 cents per litre, the PN said today.
Figures published by EU today showed that, in Poland, diesel is being sold at 94 cents while petrol is two cents cheaper.
"The Prime Minister has been proved wrong in less than 24 hours. This means that Maltese families and businesses are paying 50 cents more on petrol and 41 cents more on diesel than Polish people."
The Nationalist Party again called on the government to lower fuel prices. It also said that the revised prices, published on https://www.energy.eu/fuelprices/, showed that the PN's own new website, www.dieselupetrol.com, is uncovering the government's deceit.
The press statement was signed by Marthese Portelli, the PN's spokesperson on the Environment, Energy and Infrastructure.
