Russia, Slovakia agree on new 15 years of oil supplies
Russia and Slovakia signed a framework agreement on Friday for a new oil supply deal, the Russian Energy Ministry told TASS.
On October 30, Russia’s government approved a draft intergovernmental agreement with Slovakia on oil sales and transit. The agreement provides for annual pumping of up to six tons of oil to Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline. The same amount of oil will run in transit through Slovakia to other European countries. The agreement will come into force from January 1, 2015 and will be in effect until December 31, 2029.NA
Energy Minister Novak said earlier he expected the deal to be signed before the end of the year. He did not say however which of Russian oil companies would export oil to that country.
