Simba Energy plans 2D seismic onshore Kenya in Q1

told investors it expects 2D seismic exploration work for Block 2A, onshore Kenya, to get underway in the first quarter of 2015.

The program will see the capture of 400 kilometres of seismic data.

It will allow the company to pinpoint locations for future drilling. It will assess areas in both the Anza and Mandera basins.

At the same time, the company continues to actively negotiate with a number of parties interested in a farm-in to the project.

This part of Kenya will be in focus in the early part of 2015 as drilling gets underway on the hotly anticipated Badada well on the nearby Block 2B, which is being explored by Premier Oil (LON:PMO)
