What an outstanding 8 months since our launch! Our global recognition has not only far surpassed our expectations but is now teetering on our wildest dreams. January & February for example have seen a massive increase in candidate activity and engagement, our site has had a 280% increase in visits; add to that a 220% increase in number of CV uploads. It’s going to be a great year. We’ve also broadened our advertising network, putting us at 12 sources in total. On the social media front we now have over 20K followers on Twitter and growing – not bad for a company that only launched a few months ago!
As you may know, we were honoured with the NORA Best Newcomer Award last year. This year has already started to follow suit with an Onrec Awards nomination for “Newcomer of The Year” which we are extremely honoured by. The winners are to be announced at the awards ceremony at The Grange St Pauls Hotel in London on March 19th and we cannot express how pleased we were to see our name on the short list for this highly notable award platform. We’ll keep you posted with the results!
OilFinity has just recently been accredited in the article “Here.” where it boasts of not only our growth but also our innovative model! One of the most telling quotes from the article includes the words:
” Both thrive on the fertile ground of weak oil prices. Oilfinity for example offers performance based pricing (including cost per application) instead of the established advertising model”.
‘..they can tailor their search more easily therefore making results more relevant, and they do not include job board postings and so improve the candidate experience significantly.’
It’s those key differences between ourselves and other platforms make us stand out. We are simply more relevant to our target audience and provide a broader range of content to the candidates than any other platform for this industry. A now well-known fact, if you’ve read the article, that we are particularly proud of.
We are also thrilled to announce that we will be partnering with Oil and Gas Technology, the magazine and publisher. In addition, OilFinity has been lucky enough to get together with Rikki Smith of Oilfield Jobs. Her insightful guest blog post on entry-level positions within the oil and gas titled “Here.” was exactly what one would expect from the inspirng woman who runs the community, Oilfield Jobs (a non-profit program that is committed to assisting jobseekers in their quest to find gainful employment within the industry).
All aforementioned excitement is but the tip of the iceberg of success and growth we are sure to see in the coming years. We pledge to continue to keep everyone informed on any new and exciting changes, plans, and achievements that are yet to come to the largest oil and gas job search engine in the world!
