In this 1-day Best Practices in Measurement Schematics course participants will learn the best practices in Measure Schematics in relation to the Enhanced Production Audit Program and to Directive 17 (Measurement). It can be used as the communication tool to articulate oil and gas production operations for production accountants. By walking through the Measurement Schematics from oil and gas production from the wellhead to the pipeline, the operator/operations engineer gain a common understanding of the operations in the field. All parties are on the same page and walk towards operational excellence. Through measurement schematics, operation personnel can focus on the issues in the field and resolve them quickly.

The Best Practices in Measurement Schematics course is created for Oil and Gas Operation Professionals, Production / Operation Engineers and Production Accountants who would like to gain an understanding of Measurement Schematics in the Enhanced Production Audit Program and Directive 17. Participants without oil and gas backgrounds will be able to apply these basic principles in greater depth in Operations and Production Accounting as a result of this one-day session.

•Measurement Schematics: P & ID, Measurement Schematics and Process Flow Diagram: The level of abstraction.

•EPAP / Directive 17 measurement schematics requirements.

•Drawing wells and facilities.

•Using Measurement Schematics as a communication tool.

•Tool and techniques in Measurement Schematics.

Kenneth Fung, MBA, CMA, PMP, ISP Kenneth Fung is an M.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University, Florida. He is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Project Management Professional (PMP), Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting (CAPPA) certified and an Information Systems Professional (ISP).

He has over 15 years in Gas Cost Allowance, and Waste Reporting as well as Financial, Production, Revenue and Royalty Accounting in the oil and gas industry.

He has good knowledge and experience in Directive 7 (Volumetric reporting), Directive 17 (Measurement) and Directive 76 (EPAP), Directive 56 (Facility Licensing) from the Albert a Energy Regulator (AER) perspective.

Ken has worked and consulted in the Oil and Gas Industry, a Production Accounting system company, a regulatory agency and a registry on Project Management, Business Analysis, Gas Cost Allowance, Waste Reporting, Financial, Production, Revenue and Royalty Accounting.

Ken is currently a Senior Adviser/Project Manager at Visser Consulting Ltd.

In addition he teaches Project Management at Mount Royal University, SAIT, The University of Calgary and The University of Phoenix.

Ken is the Education Director of CAPPA as well as Membership Director of the Project Management Institute - Southern Alberta Chapter.
